In 2014 The Visual Communication Design Lab at IUAV University of Venice developed a project about the signage and wayfinding system for the Santi Giovanni e Paolo Hospital in Venice.
The students were divided into groups and each group worked on a solution, based on a specific theme that related to the building and the city of Venice.
The students were divided into groups and each group worked on a solution, based on a specific theme that related to the building and the city of Venice.
The conditioning factors were:
– Combining different parts of the hospital where the buildings had a lot of diverse architectural styles, from the Renaissance to Contemporary.
– The different predominant materials featuring the buildings’ architecture.
– The desire to create a consistent signage system in order to guide the patient, the visitor, and the hospital staff.
Group project: Alessandro Michelazzo, Riccardo Gioria, Erica Zipoli.
