Cultural exhibition & visual communication project
Pipa di Borso is a visual communication project designed to preserve and promote a traditional local craft: handmade wooden pipes from Borso del Grappa.
The outcome is a modular travelling exhibition tailored for schools, aimed at making cultural heritage accessible to younger audiences.
The tradition of pipe-making, once central to the local economy, is now almost forgotten.
The challenge was to:
- translate historical content into a clear visual language
- engage a young audience
- create a flexible and low-cost exhibition system
Turning tradition into a living, visual experience.
The project combines storytelling, education, and design to transform cultural heritage into something engaging and easy to understand.
A portable exhibition system including:
- modular panels
- structured visual hierarchy
- educational and accessible content
The design focuses on clarity, readability, and adaptability across different school environments.
Modularity → easy to transport and install
Clarity → simplified content for students
Visual storytelling → combining text, images, and layout
Cultural identity → inspired by materials and local craft
- A replicable exhibition format.
- Increased accessibility of local heritage.
- A project that bridges design and cultural education.
